1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. They serve different purposes: some are essential to make the website work, others help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it, and others enable additional features like session recording for debugging.

Similar technologies (such as local storage and session storage) may also be used for equivalent purposes and are covered by this policy.

2. Who Sets Cookies

Cookies on the Sigil platform are set by:

- Sigil directly ("first-party cookies"), for authentication and your consent preferences;

- Sentry (a third party), for error monitoring; it sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser;

- Google Analytics (a third party), visit statistics for the public part of the site only: the home page, pricing, help centre and legal documents. It is not loaded on the screens you see after signing in;

- LiqPay / PrivatBank ("third-party cookies"), only during payment processing.

3. Cookie Categories

We use cookies in the following categories. You can manage your preferences in the cookie settings panel, accessible at any time from the footer.

3.1 Necessary Cookies (always active)

These cookies are essential for the platform to function and cannot be disabled. They do not require consent under ePrivacy Directive Art. 5(3).

Your language is part of the address you are reading (/en, /pl, /ua, /ru), so changing it changes the link. The NEXT_LOCALE cookie only records which address you arrived at, so that the site opens in the same language next time.

All necessary cookies are set by Sigil as first-party cookies and are essential for security and access to the authenticated application.

3.2 Analytics Cookies (require consent)

These cookies help us understand how users interact with the platform, which features are used, where errors occur, and how performance can be improved. They are only set after you accept the analytics category in the cookie banner.

Sentry sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser for error monitoring: a report is assembled in memory and sent. The consent gate is kept regardless, because the report itself leaves your device and reaches a third-party processor.

Sentry analytics data is processed in the EU (Sentry EU data residency option active). Data is retained for 90 days in Sentry. Personal data in error reports is anonymised where possible.

Google Analytics runs only on the public part of the site. It is not present on the dashboard, declarations, fleet or settings, nor on the sign-in, invitation, e-mail-confirmation and password-reset screens, some of those addresses carry a one-time token in the path, and the address of the page is the first thing such a tool sends. The script is not loaded at all until you accept the analytics category; declining it, or withdrawing it later, stops every transmission immediately, without reloading the page. Google shortens the IP address before storing it and we do not enable advertising or remarketing features. Data is retained for 14 months. Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Dublin.

3.3 Payment Cookies (active during payment only)

When you initiate a payment, the LiqPay payment widget (operated by JSC CB PrivatBank, PCI DSS certified) may set cookies or tokens required for secure payment processing and 3D Secure authentication. These cookies are strictly necessary for the payment transaction and are not used for tracking or marketing purposes.

These tokens are set only during active payment flow and are deleted when the payment session ends. For details, see LiqPay's privacy policy at liqpay.ua.

4. Cookies We Do Not Use

Sigil does not use:

- Advertising or tracking cookies;

- Social media cookies (no social share buttons, no embedded feeds; the one embedded object on the site is the product video described in §5, and it loads only after you click play);

- Facebook Pixel or other marketing trackers;

- Fingerprinting techniques.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Sentry: A third-party error monitoring service. It sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser. Sentry's privacy policy: https://sentry.io/privacy/. Sentry does not use data from Sigil for advertising purposes. Google Analytics: Visit statistics for the public part of the site, described in §3.2. Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Advertising and remarketing features are switched off, so this data is not used to build an advertising profile of you. YouTube (Google Ireland Limited): The home page carries one embedded video about the product. Until you click play, nothing is requested from YouTube: the page shows our own poster image, served from our domain. After the click the player loads from youtube-nocookie.com, the address Google provides without advertising cookies; YouTube may then set technical cookies in your browser for playback and counts the view. 6. Managing Your Preferences

Cookie banner: When you first visit the platform, a cookie banner allows you to accept or reject analytics. You can change your preferences at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer. Withdrawing consent: You can withdraw consent for analytics at any time through the cookie settings panel. Withdrawal takes effect immediately, without reloading the page: the reporting client is shut down and no new analytics data is collected from that moment. Browser settings: You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in or using the platform.
